Yazıcıoğlu Operation: FETÖ Assassination Claim and Military Aircraft Involvement

The operation conducted by the Ankara Public Prosecutor's Office following the transfer of the investigation into the crash of Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu's helicopter has resulted in the detention of 25 individuals. Lawyer Kemal Yavuz emphasized that the operation is significant for the investigation and requires a strong will. He noted that the case was already well-developed in Kahramanmaraş but gained momentum with its transfer to Ankara. Yavuz highlighted the importance of the detention of pilots, referencing a 2014 investigation at the Erzurum Dumlu Radar Station which revealed that military aircraft conducted a deceptive flight over Çukurova. He believes this flight played a role in the helicopter's crash. Additionally, he revealed that radar records were transferred to Diyarbakır BİKİM and were destroyed in an investigation conducted in 2025. Yavuz claimed that FETÖ elements were the decision-makers behind the incident and that Adil Öksüz, a pilot under trial for FETÖ ties, was among those involved. He also noted that the helicopter was kept ready for 58 minutes at Erhaç Airport, suggesting a pre-planned assassination. Yavuz argued that the assassination was carried out by FETÖ elements, that search and rescue teams were sabotaged, and that forensic samples were collected immediately to test for poisoning. He presented evidence supporting the claim that the incident was a premeditated assassination.
