Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during his attendance at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Leaders Summit in Bishkek, announced that Turkey's economy grew by 2.3% in the second quarter of 2026. This marks the 24th consecutive quarter of growth for the country amid global challenges. Economy Minister Nihat Kacır highlighted that the industrial sector grew by 2.4% in his social media post. "We will continue to maintain production, investment, employment, and exports," he stated. The minister also emphasized that efforts to increase industrial added value will continue. These figures underscore Turkey's economic resilience and the success of its industrial-focused growth policies. Markets are expecting these data points to strengthen Turkey's global competitiveness.
