The Turkish Ministry of Trade has intensified its regulatory enforcement against non-compliant digital listings under the Electronic Listing Verification System (EİDS), aiming to eliminate informal trade, prevent fake listings, and protect consumers in the real estate and automotive sectors.
Social Media Listings Under EİDS Mandate and Meta's Blockade
The Ministry announced that identity and authorization verification is mandatory for all real estate and vehicle advertisements published electronically, including on Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp. It is now a legal requirement to share the EİDS-verified listing link and the listing price in social media posts.

Targeting Speculative Pricing in Real Estate and Automotive Sectors
Under the new regulations, visuals and descriptions shared in social media posts are only permitted if they correspond directly to the property or vehicle verified through the EİDS system. The Ministry emphasized that to avoid administrative sanctions, real estate and gallery businesses must strictly include verified listing links and price information in their posts.
This regulatory action totaling 8.2 million TL and the direct integration with META represent a significant structural step to curb speculative pricing behavior in digital marketplaces. From a macroeconomic perspective, deflating artificial price bubbles in housing and automotive sectors will support the ongoing disinflation process in Turkey. For algorithmic pricing models and market data providers, enhanced data integrity points toward a more rationalized market valuation path.
