U.S. transportation giant Uber has launched a formal takeover bid for European delivery leader Delivery Hero, offering shareholders €41.50 per share in cash, totaling approximately $14.8 billion. The deal would create a combined entity operating in 99 countries, projected to reach $236 billion in gross transaction volume by 2025. SSW Partners has agreed to acquire Uber Eats and Delivery Hero's overlapping 14 markets for $1.6 billion, with SSW retaining no control over the acquired operations. Turkey's Yemeksepeti is among the assets being transferred.
