Industrial Incentive Wave: Turkey Mobilizes 64 Billion TL in High-Tech Health and Automotive Investments
Sanayi ve Teknoloji Bakanlığı, Türkiye'nin yerli üretim kapasitesini ve yüksek teknolojili sanayi ekosistemini güçlendirmek amacıyla devasa bir teşvik

The Ministry of Industry and Technology is deploying a massive incentive package designed to reinforce Turkey's domestic production capacity and high-tech industrial ecosystem. From healthcare industries to motor vehicle components, billions of liras in investment are being unlocked to drive strategic localization and skilled employment.
The Tech-Driven Industry Move and Localization Wave in Healthcare
According to Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır, investment incentive certificates were issued for 102 different investments in the healthcare industry over the past year. This initiative has mobilized a total investment of 64 billion TL, paving the way for 3,244 high-qualified jobs. Under the Technology-Oriented Industry Move Program, 36 strategic investment projects exceeding 23 billion TL in total value—ranging from biosimilar drugs to orthopedic devices—are being actively supported.
Tekirdağ's Industrial Evolution and New Incentive Instruments
Tekirdağ, serving as the industrial heart of the Marmara region, continues its rapid expansion backed by new fiscal and operational incentives:
Local Development Drive Targeting Automotive Parts and Medical Devices
Under the Local Development Move Incentive Program, new applications focusing on high-value-added manufacturing sectors have been processed. Following the program's update in January 2026, 22 new project applications with a total investment volume of 6 billion TL were received. These projects target critical fields such as motor vehicle components, structural parts for defense and civil aviation, and medical device manufacturing. Selected projects will receive up to 301 million TL in financing contributions and a 50% tax reduction.
While the multi-billion-lira localization wave in the healthcare industry is a crucial milestone for Turkey's industrial transition, as a heavy industry and automotive analyst, my focus is drawn to the 6 billion TL in new investment applications targeting motor vehicle components and aerospace parts. In an era of global electrification and supply chain reorganization, Turkey must transition its automotive supplier base toward high-value-added, precision-engineered components. The expansion of OIZs in the Tekirdağ region, coupled with employer SGK premium waivers and interest subsidies, acts as a vital lever for domestic manufacturers aiming to integrate into the global electric vehicle (EV) supply chain. The manufacturing disciplines of medical devices and automotive electronics share deep technical synergies; simultaneous incentives in both sectors will inevitably elevate Turkey's precision engineering and high-tech manufacturing threshold.
